PA Breast Cancer Coalition Charity T-Shirt

It’s been a while, but today I want to spread the word about HKelly designs Charity T-Shirt for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. This is HKelly designs’ 3rd year and we are so excited about the illustration created by Florina Boldi! All proceeds will be donated to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition! Click here to get yours!

We are using the same t-shirt as last year and here is what people are saying about it.

Anita from SiammPatra says about last years t-shirt, “Love your tee! It’s simply stylish and very comfy!”

Nadene says adorable design, loved last year’s and had to get this year’s design too! And as a breast cancer survivor, I appreciate the great charity this shirt benefits. The t shirt is form fitting (which I like) but if you want it to be a bit less snug, order a size up from your normal size. The cotton is lightweight and soft.

This is a pre-order item and we will be taking orders until August 28th, so get your order in today and help fight breast cancer! All t-shirts will be delivered in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This years design is full of all our favorite things! The XOXO t-shirt, our Perfect Wristlet to be Hands Free and of course some funky colored hair!

Click here to order yours today and get in on the pre-order because we won’t be ordering extras. Thanks in advance for helping support the PA Breast Cancer Coalition!

24 Things Women Over 30 Should Wear

Well, I couldn’t say this any better! Please, be who you are, don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot wear or be!

warning:curves ahead

This morning, as I was perusing my Facebook timeline, I happened upon an article that a lovely friend shared. It was entitled “24 Things Women Should Stop Wearing After Age 30”, and it triggered Maximum Eye-Rollingfrom everyone who took the time out to read it.

Written by Kallie Provencher for, this “article” (I use the term loosely) highlighted things such as “leopard print”, “graphic tees”, and “short dresses” (because “By this age, women should know it’s always better to leave something to the imagination”). Kallie, it seems, has a number of opinions on what women over 30 should and shouldn’t be doing, having also penned “30 Things Women Over 30 Shouldn’t Own” and “20 Pictures Women Over 30 Need To Stop Posting Online”. (What is this magical post-30 land where women are suddenly not allowed to do or own so many things?!)

Motivated by Kallie’s “article”, I decided to…

Prince, A True Individualist

Wow, today, my heart hurts, Prince died at 57.

Prince was my favorite live performer ever!

I saw him with some co-worker/friends back in the 2000’s; he played theater in the round in Philly and all who attended got his latest album for free with your ticket.

Prince Musicology

We had 100 level seats and we were basically eye level with Prince!

As we were sitting there, Aretha Franklin and her body guards came down the aisle and sat the next section over from us!

I will always have that memory of seeing him in his heeled boots, dancing singing and even doing “Lean Back” with Aretha.

Prince is the epitome of an individual! Really he did what he wanted, he wrote, sang and performed the way he wanted to. He had a fashion all his own.

“Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
To get through this thing called life

Electric word life
it means forever and that’s a mighty long time
But I’m here to tell you

There’s something else
The after world
A world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun, day or night…”

Today we celebrate a true individualist and one amazing, creative artist!

Watching CNN and Don Lemon said, “He was the ultimate individual!”

Austin: The Ultimate Individualist City

This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit Austin! And yep, Austin is Weird! But in a great way! I didn’t get to see a lot because we were there for a MotoGP Race (World’s best motorcycle riders) but we were able visit Rainy Street and the HandBuilt Motorcycle show.

I have to say that I really need to go back and visit some more to really get the full effect, but the little I saw was awesome!

First, all you individualists would love Rainy Street. They took a bunch of broke down old cottages and turned them into the cutest little bars with lots of outdoor seating! We visited 2, Lucille Bar and Patio and Bungalow. Plus, they have lots of food trucks along the way so you can get snacks! We tried Little Lucy’s Mini Donuts! OMG, fresh tiny donuts! We got Honey and Ginger with Caramel dipping sauce! Yeah, awesome!

Plus, we got to meet up with Feliz Garcia of Feliz Garcia Jewelry! Yes, another meet and greet with a fellow artist! I’ve known her for a couple of years now, but this was the first time meeting in person! I can’t wait til her new earrings come out!

Oh, and I can’t forget the Handbuilt Motorcylce Show! Ok, you may not love motorcycles as much as I do, but if you went you would still be able to appreciate the amazing craftsmanship that went into these bikes. Below are a couple of pics I took while checking them out!

So have you been to Austin? Would love to know what you think! Comment below to share your experiences!

Life Happens

So sorry, it has been a little while! Life got in the way, but I am refocusing and getting back in the saddle!

First, thanks to all the people who supported me while my grandmother was sick! Lots of friends and “friends” were there cheering on my grandma while she was in the hospital! I am happy to report she is on her way to getting back home very soon! For those of you not following on The Fashion Stop, my 93 year old grandma had to have surgery recently and I spent a lot of time visiting her.

Second, I am working on updating what The Fashion Stop is all about. The Fashion Stop is about being individualistic. And what does that mean? It means  marked by or expressing individuality! We are all about you being you and being your own individual self! And this is really how HKelly designs come into being. I was tired of the same old handbags in every store, so I started designing my own with fun and funky colors and prints!

And Third, ugh getting over the untimely winter cold. LOL, we all get them and of course they can really knock you down!

From now on though, things are going to be moving forward and upward! I hope you will join me for the ride because I plan on it being a fun one.

We are always looking for great stories of people being individualistic and if you have one, tell us about it in the comments below or email me at!
